That is why people call dreadlocks, DREADlocks. They Dread looking at your locks. Or smelling them. I wash my locs on the regular. I don't want people saying I stink or my dreads stink. Did you know, if you wash your dreads more, they will dread faster?

yes at the start washing does help, but when it takes people hours among hours for the hair to dry its not worth it, at that point dreads are matured anyway so they don't need that boost. obviously you care too much what people think, people will say anythign About something they don't like just to feel superior. and if you walk around trying to please people your a douche.

It's not even so much about what other people think, but just about being clean!! Also, don't you wanna meet the opposite sex? I am very sure not smelling bad helps a lot with that department. emoticon

Re: ***Dreadlock Information***

Your post helped me a lot! I just made my first dread lock yesterday and I put wax on it...thank goodness I read this post!!! I'm definitely doing that boiling water/laundry detergent thing to get it out. Is there anything else I need to do with my dreads to help them along the way?
