Re: Hiking pics (lots)
easyskankin - cool you've lived in the Berkshires! Nova Scotia is really beautiful too. Post pics sometime, k?
stoneybwoy - yeah, the heights get to me too. Only when we have to hike near the edge though. Those stairs didn't bother me until I was almost back down, then a slight case of vertigo set in. But I understand about conquering your fears, I'm like that too. And this is one that will HAVE to be conquered so I can hike that Appalachian Trail!
TomaS GangstA - You should really get out and explore the trails now, while you're young. I really regret waiting so long. It hurts a lot more a my age. =D
phunkybrewster - Yes. This world has a LOT of beautiful places! (See the next page!) You should make plans to hike the AT the same year as me and my friend (2009). That still gives you plenty of time to get ready for it. I looked up Michelson online. Looks nice! How much have you seen/hiked so far?
purslane - how close to the AT are ya? We haven't really hiked PA yet. Not sure where you read that I was there, but my family and I went through last year to visit relatives in Michigan, and my husband gets delivery runs there for his job sometimes. Too far to drive for hiking. Like nappy mcSea said, the gas prices are keeping us closer to home right now. Would be cool to hike w/ya tho!! :sunny:
nappy mcSea - yeah, I'm lucky to split the cost of gas with my hiking buddy, otherwise I wouldn't be able to. The deal I made with my hubby was that I can use my Dunkin Donuts tip $$ toward my AT hike, which I figure on my weekly trips too. Lately, tips are really bad and I haven't been able to put any toward gear, just gas and a coffee on the way home! I hope you will be able to go ahead with your plans/dreams. They sound awesome! And thanks for the comment on the banner. God is the best!
=D
Overture 1922 - Wow! Where do you live?!!? Those are awesome pics! And YES!, I love that small feeling in the wilderness! Reminds me how BIG God is to make it all!! =D
